Here is most of Mark's gear for live and studio work. Bluzrockin' is all about tone baby! So here's the deal at the present time.

Cobalt Blue Tradition - MTP 450 semi- hollow body guitar.

From the factory this guitar was set up beautifully low and fast. Upon working on my latest release "Doin' My Thang!" (which was used on all but one solo and most rhythms ) I found that the action was too low for my style. I prefer the strings up a bit to stretch under for heavy bending. An Allen wrench and some neck relief was all that was needed. It plays like "butter" as everyone said that has touched it. This guitar is so light, fast and controllable it ranks top of any other I've ever played, or owned. Fans have commented on wild playing I can do with this axe. Thanks Eric and the Tradition Guitar staff for producing a incredible instrument working musicians can afford. If I would have one custom made it would perform exactly like this! This currently is my main axe!

Washburn HB-35

This is my baby! Purchased in 1992 used it was worked over for 14 years as my only guitar. Poor girl is now suffering from extreme fret wear but does make appearances at live show and studio. Some day I will get it re-fretted to play correct again. I went to hollow body guitars with this one, after playing 2 months in Huston Texas with Mark May. He had an old Gibson I used on stage one night and I fell in love with the tone, full and powerful. This was my first hollow body and was used on first release "Ready to Go" 2003.

Marshall MG-50 DFX ( Dan or Craig can get you one! Click here )

Ok, my first Marshall ever. My last two set ups were a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (great amp but couldn't control in smaller clubs, tone vs. volume issue) followed by a Fender Blues Jr. and a Behringer V-Amp (which I loved but V-Amp 2 was not reliable) So, moved from tube amps to simulated tubes and wow, what tone. Loud and proud 50 watts 1-12" of kick ass tone. I wanted delay effect I use for solos and great tube sound in one amp, plug and play. So far it carries small and large rooms with ease and is capable of bringing out the best in my soul to the crowd. Used on most solos and rhythms for "Doin' My Thang!"  It's light and small enough for small stage. It's always setting on a stand angled right up so I can hear and feel it no matter what's going on.

ED-1 The Compressor by Marshall

Got this for a clean soloing tool. It's a rock, well made durable petal (for drunken dipshits spilling booze on your gear up front while talking to you while you are ripping away a tune, lol) You have all seen that, or done it, if you have stop it, leave your drink at your table, haha!

Wah Petal by Crybaby

Michael Schenker uses a wah, so well have to have one. lol.
